How Lex Now collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Lex Now, we collect information you provide directly (name, phone number, email), information generated through your use of the app (appointments, messages, reviews, legal queries), and technical data (device type, OS version, app version, FCM token for push notifications).

For advocates, we also collect professional information including bar council registration number, practice areas, courts, years of experience, consultation fee, and profile details you choose to share.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Lex Now service
To connect clients with advocates and facilitate consultations
To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and push notifications
To verify advocate credentials and maintain platform integrity
To process points purchases and apply referral codes
To respond to support requests
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

With the other party in a consultation — advocates see client contact details when they use points to unlock a query; clients see advocate profile information
With Firebase (Google) for app infrastructure, authentication, and cloud functions
With Apple (via App Store in-app purchases) and Google (via Google Play Billing) for processing advocate points purchases — neither Apple nor Google processes client-to-advocate payments, as those are settled directly between the parties outside the platform
When required by Indian law or court order

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security including Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, and encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS). We do not collect or store any payment card information. Points purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google on their secure platforms and we receive only a confirmation of the transaction.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@lexnow.in. You may also submit a deletion request online or delete your account directly from the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). We will respond to data requests within 7 business days.

6. Children's Privacy

Lex Now is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it.

7. Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use cookies for analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve outstanding disputes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified via the app. Continued use of Lex Now after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
